In 1998, our designers asked for Barrier Island rugs in wool and cotton stripes that were hand loomed in India. We started investigating stripes in upholstery and found that they have been doing them for almost 300 years! So now we go to the Paris Home Furnishing Show, the New York, Highpoint, and San Francisco shows and therefore we are way ahead of the curve with the colors used in our Barrier Island Collection of rugs. We use the top fabric houses to get our colors along with our design ideas. We only seek out small design studios as accounts and the catalogue customers usually use their own labels and "BIC" is never mentioned.
